Family portrait

Experimenting with the daguerreotype-like process, I was aiming to create a family photo-album that would have a feeling of a 19th century photos. The process however allowed superposition of multiple 'photos', thus, breaking up the linearity of a timescale along which the photos are taken.
The end result is neither a mid-19th century daguerreotype-like photo nor the crisp sharp high resolution digital image from the mid-21st century. And with that, my family's portraits seized between centuries and our multiple personalities.
