A tea party

 

This project explores the omnipresence of plastic.

 

The threat of plastic overabundance is contrasted by the aesthetics and symbolism of the Dutch still lives from the 17th century. One recurrent element is the lemon – it was almost always present, possibly as a symbol of the wealthy class of merchants, whilst the twists of the pill demonstrated the mastery of a painter.

 

Centuries later, lemons and plastics are in a completely different context: the artificial lemon scent is in every cleansing and refreshing plastic-bottled product.
